City tours of the Leipziger Verkehrsbetriebe:
The "Big Leipzig city tour by tram" takes place every Saturday at 11 am and 2 pm and in the summer season from May to September every Sunday at 11 am with the "Gläserne Leipziger". If the weather is nice, the "Open Leipzig" is used on Sundays. The tours lead, accompanied by an experienced tour guide from Leipzig Erleben GmbH, through the most interesting districts of Leipzig, along the most important sights.

Big Leipzig city tour by tram

Duration: 2 hours, departure and arrival point is the main station / west side, side track Kurt-Schumacher-Straße.

Route: The way leads u. a. through Gohlis, past Art Nouveau buildings and the Schillerhaus, as well as through Rosenthal and the Waldstrasse district with its magnificent Wilhelminian style houses. In addition, Plagwitz in western Leipzig with its partly preserved buildings from the early days of industrialization is passed through. You also pass Clara-Zetkin-Park, Wilhelminian style villas and the New Town Hall. In the south of Leipzig there are u. a. Wilhelminian style houses, the grounds of the Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk, the old exhibition center and the Völkerschlachtdenkmal. Buildings in the city center and large parts of the graphic district are also on the route.
